
Over the coming months I plan to post a series of articles here; biographical, botanical and some hopefully useful notes on a variety of drawing and painting techniques. By way of introduction, the first in the series is a short essay on the late Arthur Harry Church, the Victorian scholar, botanist and illustrator whose work I have found particularly influential.
